Thesis Statement

One Sentence Conceptual Design

My thesis will be a HTC Vive virtual reality experience of my bedroom that has been invaded by a community of tiny tenants, living in the floor boards and small spaces.

Conceptual Design with More Detail

In the scene of the room you can see the bedroom as a normal room, but as you look closer and start to move around in the virtual reality, you can see how the environment the tiny tenants are living in is magically evolving and growing out from the bedroom into small hills, valleys and nature scenes combine with objects they have found within the room, choosing to use them for their homes.  Shown in the scene is the environment the little people have made but not the actual people. No people will be shown in the scene, just the things they have left behind and created. As a player, you have the opportunity to explore the big bedroom, and the environment of little tenants, picking up and interacting with the elements.

  1. I like this idea. The fact that it is your bedroom connects with the idea that it may be real or unreal, or somehow linked to your imagination and fantasy - now as an adult or previously, as a child. If you imagined this happening as a child, for example, wouldn't it be interesting if these little creatures packed up and joined you in your dorm or apartment when you came to RIT?

However you proceed, you will be mixing some personal information with the fantasy. I think it's always a good idea to personalize artwork in some way.
